A note from the seller:

My great grandparents moved into this house in the 1920s, rented it and then bought it in 1936. I have very fond memories of coming down to Brisbane from Mackay in the 1960s to visit my great grandfather and great Uncle. Everyone knew each other in the street. There was a Polish family on one side (still there) and a Italian family on the other. Norm across the road until the early 2000s and Gus the butcher who was involved in racehorses with my Great Uncle Bob who lived at number 9. I remember hopping on the trams to the city and seeing the massive stores with Christmas lights, elevators and escalators.

In 2002, it was architecturally and professionally rebuilt; with every millimetre of roofing, wiring, and plumbing replaced. The builder had a very attention to detail and was very particular. Piers were sunk into the ground and the concrete for the foundations and piers were poured on the same day, giving a water-tight structure. We have meticulously maintained the house over the past 20 years. No hidden surprises and now with retirement coming, with many nostalgic memories, I am very sad to sell this home which holds so many happy memories to pass on.
