Top Rentals: Perth

July 23, 2021

They call it a slow-moving city, and that’s exactly why we can’t resist the unpretentious, laid-back allure of Perth. It has everything you’d want in an Australian city–a short road trip from award-winning vineyards, soft sand beaches, and sunny, temperate weather all year round. Not to mention their blossoming food scene. It’s quickly becoming one of the coolest kids on the block.

But we’re not the only ones who are seeing it—property prices have gone up by about $30,000 since the beginning of the year. And still, the city is one of the most affordable in the country, with an average rental price at $360/week in comparison to Sydney’s $550. With a plethora of charming neighbourhoods to choose from, there’s a suburb for every preference. On that note, here’s Soho’s selection of our favourite rental properties in Perth. All gorgeous. All with their own unique draw.

2605/1 Geoffrey Bolton Avenue

We just love the floor to ceiling windows in this beautiful 4-bedroom. It comes elegantly furnished with designs and finishes you can easily make your own. Each room has views of the city and its very own bathroom, and the location is hard to beat. You’re in Perth’s CBD yet perched over the banks of the Swan River. Prefer an indoor swim? The residence features fantastic facilities like a swimming pool, gym and an array of lounges. Contact Amy Salm at PRD to book an inspection.

24 Monger Street

There’s a lot to love about this quaint rental. Nested on a tree-lined street but a short walk away from vibrant restaurants and cafes, you get the serenity of a quiet suburb with all the convenience of inner-city living. A recent renovation to its 1930s roots including a designer kitchen and modern industrial bathroom make this 2-bedroom a great choice for young adults and small families. The listing becomes available on 30th July so get in touch with Martin Geraghty at Arena soon.

13/ 11 Bennett Street

If you’re someone who’s looking to live between the city and the water, this apartment would tick that box. Just poke your head out your balcony and see the Swan River, sitting just a stroll away and delivering you that cool breeze. With a large open plan, it’s ideal for those who like to entertain. And you won’t even need to leave the building for more activities. Just head to the pool or lounge or billiards room. Inspect it tomorrow, 24th July, with Michael Adams from Realestate88.
